Tim Bray
Tim has over 35 years of experience in the Life Sciences industry. He spent the first 12 years of his career in progressive roles in pharma sales, sales management and account management where he won multiple outstanding performance awards. While in sales, Tim developed a keen awareness of the impact of change and its impact on people and organizations. He made a career change into Human Resources when he was asked to come into the corporate office and help merge the ciba-geigy and Sandoz field sales organizations into one entity to become Novartis Commercial. From there Tim moved into progressively global roles at Bayer and then Quintiles. He has headed up global organization development groups, run executive education and development shops and was Chief Learning Officer at Quintiles. He has lived and worked in Asia twice (Korea and Singapore) for a total of 8 years. In his last assignment at Quintiles, Tim oversaw the entire HR organization in Asia and drove growth from 3,500 employees to over 12,000 in just 6 years with a commensurate increase in business performance. His last role at Quintiles was global head of HR Operations and Training in addition to Asia where he oversaw the complete overhaul of the delivery model for HR services to maximize the budget shift from transactional to strategic services. Tim has a reputation as “Mr. Fix It” as he has frequently been called in to assist leaders to set a new vision, drive change, turn around a poor performing business and/or to get more results with the same or less budget. Tim is different from many in that he has quick insight into the drivers of business performance and can help leaders develop and execute plans that make a difference. Tim has experience working with several Boards of Directors both from within and without an organization. He has also served on a Board himself.
EDUCATION
Tim has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Xavier University magna cum laude and a Master’s Degree from Vanderbilt University in Organization Development.
