Merlion Partners was formed to accelerate performance of teams and organizations with a focus on the senior level with a specialty in Executive Search, Executive Coaching, Pre-Post M&A Due Diligence and Newly Acquired Company Challenges, Employer Branding and Other Business Performance-Related Consulting including Creating Budget Headroom for Change. It all came together as a result of two very close colleagues and friends that have worked together across the globe for over 15 years. They wanted to offer their clients a solution that recognized that many companies need to accelerate growth and often that includes an Asia component. Tim Bray and Bin Gong originally met at Bayer Diagnostics. Tim was working as the global head of organization and executive development. Bin was over human resources for all regions of the world except the US and Europe. At the time Bayer Diagnostics was going through a major global change. Tim and Bin worked closely over the ensuing years and together delivered many change and executive development initiatives globally. It was during this time that Tim and Bin were in Baroda, India delivering a change course to the entire India leadership team, when the unthinkable happened. The first day of the program was on 9/11. As we made our way back home from that experience and saw the thoughtful care and concern shown us, an indelible bond was formed. Bin and Tim continued to work together over the years, sometimes with the same company and sometimes different, but always knowing something would happen to bring them together again. All of us at Merlion Partners are previous CHRO’s and have significant business experience.
